This is a school project I worked on with a partner, during the second year. We had to create a funeral urn, different from what you can find nowadays. We made the choice to deal with the spiritual side of death. We mixed a funeral urn with a nest box, to create a link between the soul of the deceased and the bird which is going to live in. The shape is inspired from the oak acorn, synonym of longevity and rebirth.
